Discovery and development of new neuroimaging agents of PET/SPECT: neurodegenerative diseases, cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA), epilepsy, depressive disorders, autism disorder and schizophrenia.
Development of new tumor imaging agents: glutamine metabolism in cancer patients and aromatase activity in different regions of the brain and tumor tissues.
Awards and Honors:
β-amyloid plaques PET imaging agents in the brain for assisting the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD): [18F]AV-45 (florbetapir, Amyvid: FDA first approved in 2012 ) and [18F]AV1 (florbetaben, Neurqceq: approved by the FDA in 2014).
VMAT2 imaging agent - [18F]AV133 for PD (phase III in US)
C-11 and F-18 Glutamine metabolism imaging agent for Tumor (phase I-II in US)
DAT imaging agent - 99mTc-Trodat-1 for SPECT imaging in Parkinson disease
